Stormy
Stormy
over
six
years
old.
She
came
back
to
Alaska
with
me
after
my
mother
passed
away
in
late
1998.
Life
for
her
has
changed
a
bit.
When
she
was
down
south,
she
was
an
outside
cat.
Lean
and
mean!
Since
she
has
been
up
here, she
has
turned
into
an
indoor
cat.
Now,
she
has
become
not
so
lean
and
mean
so
we
decided
to
do
something
about
it.
Sharon
and
I
are
watching
her
weight
and
have
put
her
on
a
more
regimented
exercise
program.
We
got
her
a
little brother! |

Squiggly
This
little
guy
is
9.5
weeks
old
in
this
photo.
He
is
just
a
spunky
little
fellow
who
enjoys
playing
with
everything,
annoying
Stormy,
and
taking
power
naps.
Little
Squiggly
is
no
longer "little." He
is
tall,
slender,
and
still
quite
spunky.
He
can
leap
our
six-foot
fence
with
great
ease.
He
and
Jack
are
good
buddies
too.
When
Squiggly
gets
tired
of
Jack
messing
with
him,
though,
Squiggly
leaps
and
swipes
his
paws
at
him.
Jack
just
rams
right
into
him,
bulls
him
right
over,
and
head-butts
him
too.
No
wonder
Squiggly
fights
back!
We
hoped
that
having
Squiggly
around
Stormy
would
help
Stormy
lose
weight.
Unfortunately,
that
has
not
been
the
case.
Maybe
another
cat
or
Pug
will
help.

Jack
Sharon
got
Jack
over
the
phone
from
a
military
family
that
had
him
since
he
was
a
puppy.
When
the
military moved
them
up
to
Alaska,
their
military
housing
would
not
allow
them
to
keep
poor,
little
Jack.
We
are
now
the proud
(sometimes)
parents
of
Jack.
We
have
discussed
changing
his
name:
Ko-Jack,
Jack-ie
Chan
or
Jackie-Poo,
but
decided
to
stay with
Good
Ol'
Jack!
Jack is
now a
whopping
21 lbs. — a
powerhouse
of Pug-muscle — and
loves
picking
on Squiggly.
Having
never
owned
a Pug
before,
we find
that Jack
has countless
facial
expressions.
I tell
Sharon
that Jack
is a re-incarnated
human
because
of his
many faces
and he
is constant
attempts
to teach
us "Pug-anese." If
we ever
break
that language
barrier,
we will
be millionaires! |
